PROFESSOR MARÍA PAZ GARCÍA RUBIO PARTICIPATES IN NOVEL LAUNCH IN SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
On February 13, the professor of Private Law and researcher of the Conflictu Legum Group María Paz García Rubio, participated in the presentation of the book “The last concert”, which took place at the Momo Pub in Santiago de Compostela.
The novel tells a story inspired by a case of fake news that tries to break stereotypes about older people. It is a novel against ageism, in which the topic is treated with strong doses of humor. Its protagonists move between different Galician and Portuguese locations, and everything is seasoned with good doses of music thanks to its versatile author, Xaime Fandiño.
The professor was invited to write an epilogue, and in general to give her opinion on the issues of people with disabilities that the book addresses, in response to the reform carried out by Act 8/2021, and thus give an account of the great progress that this It meant that people with disabilities were considered to have the same legal capacity as the rest of the people, without any distinction.
The activity featured live music performed by the author himself, and the participation of María Vázquez, a brilliant Galician actress who was recently nominated for the Goya Awards for the film Matria, in the category of best leading actress.
